Mosby is accused of lying about her hardship in order to withdraw money without penalties from her retirement account and falsified information on loan applications for properties in Florida.

The accusations led to federal charges against Mosby for perjury and false statements on mortgage applications, the reports state.

Attorneys for Mosby are arguing that a CARES Act definition of "adverse financial circumstances" was not made clear.

The judge has reportedly canceled the scheduled jury selection and has asked to call everyone back in court at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15.
